In the morning I refined and extended the linguistical part of the thesis introduction. I gave an overview of the historical development from the dichotomous approach of Ferdinand de Saussure and Hermann Paul to the approach of Noam Chomsky and finally to the sub field Corpus linguistics. Additionally, I started to explain crucial terms of the field in a first draft, as well as problems of visualization in this field.

In the afternoon, I focused on reviewing sources and recommendations I got from several feedback and mentoring sessions. One good hint was the work of Kevin Walker, who is giving a course called «Information Experience Design» at Royal College of Art (RCA) in London (http://rcaied.tumblr.com/). His experimental approach of Information Design sounds promising and inspiring for my project. Later on, I prepared a short presentation, which should give a brief overview of what I have been doing the last two weeks in this seminar.
